The National Pond Monitoring Network aims to work in partnership to increase the amount of data on the UK's ponds and to make it publicly available.

Through our website you can:

• find out more about the Network 
• use the National Ponds Database to view data on ponds: find a pond by location, from a map, from its name or from the species it supports. 
• add data to the National Ponds Database.
• use the PSYM (Predictive SYstem for Multimetrics) model to get an ecological quality assessment of a pond you have surveyed.
• find out about standard methods for surveying ponds being used for the National Pond Monitoring Network and download survey methods and fieldsheets.
• find information on pond survey training courses.
